The banana slug was collected between PSB and the Core West Parking structure. It was found in an area of numerous redwood trees, moving along the forest floor. Following collection, the mollusc was transported to the lab, placed in a clean petri dish, and photographed.
The specimen was not washed in any fluid in order to avoid potential contamination.
Following photo documentation, it was placed in a 50ml sterile falcon tube and euthanized at -80C. — David Bernick 2010/03/30 22:50
