=====A Modular, Open-Source (AMOS) assembler===== The University of Maryland along with several other contributors have set out to develop an open source genome assembler. The assembler is designed to accept modular additions. The assembler comes with a suite of applications for a variety of utilities as well. This version of AMOS is installed in campusrocks cluster at "/campusdata/BME235/programs/AMOS/amos-2.0.8".\\ The instructions to install AMOS are available at [[http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/amos/index.php?title=AMOS_Getting_Started | installing AMOS section]].\\ The steps followed for installation are :\\ * tar -xvzf amos-2.0.8.tar.gz * amos-2.0.8 directory is created automatically. * cd amos-2.0.8 * ./configure * make * make install
