SAM Tools is a utility for manipulating alignments in SAM format.

The source for SAM Tools can be found on the SAM Tools SourceForge page. The archive (v0.1.16) was extracted to the /campusdata/BME235/programs directory, compiled and the executable samtools was copied to /campusdata/BME235/bin.
