====== Paper Presentation ======
Sam Vohr presented the paper "Exact and complete short read alignment to microbial genomes using GPU programming"((http://bioinformatics.oxfordjournals.org/content/early/2011/03/30/bioinformatics.btr151.abstract)) which describes [[archive:bioinformatic_tools:saruman|SARUMAN]] a tools for aligning short reads to a reference using Needlemap-Wunsch alignment implemented using CUDA. Details can be found on the [[archive:bioinformatic_tools:saruman|SARUMAN]] page.

It was decided that Wednesday June 8 at 12:00pm would be the deadline to get all updates into the wiki for grading.
